The Manual of Section Exhibition is traveling to Los Angeles, opening at the Architecture + Design Museum on April 8th. Paul will be giving lectures at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo on April 7th, and at the Architecture + Design Museum on April 8th.

School of the Art Institute of Chicago Talk

Paul kicked off the Spring 17 Mitchell Lecture Series at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects last Thursday.

Two February Lectures: Drury University and Parsons School of Design

David J. Lewis will speak at Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University on February 10th, and at Parsons on February 14th.

University of Virginia Exhibit and Lecture: Manual of Section

The Manual of Section Exhibition opened at the University of Virginia School of Architecture on Monday, followed by a lecture by Marc Tsurumaki. The exhibit is up until March 17th.

University of Michigan Exhibit and Lecture: Manual of Section

Paul Lewis to Speak at American University of Sharjah UAE, Nov 15, 2016

On Tuesday November 15, 2016 at 5pm, Paul will speak at the College of Architecture, Art and Design, American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, presenting the work of LTL and the Manual of Section.

Marc Tsurumaki to Lecture at Georgia Tech School of Architecture, Friday, October 21

Marc Tsurumaki will present a selection of the firm’s recent work in relation to their research on the role of section in architecture, culminating in the publication of ‘Manual of Section.’ The lecture will address the history and potentials of section as a generative technique, focusing on it’s evolution from early modernism forward, and on sectional strategies as they are deployed in LTL’s built and speculative designs.

Manual of Section Lecture and Exhibition Opening at OSU

The Manual of Section exhibition at Ohio State University's Knowlton School opened on Wednesday October 5th, after a lecture given by Paul Lewis. The exhibition is up until November 4th.

SCR Closing Presentation: Wednesday, March 30

Join Paul Lewis at the AIA NY Center for Architecture at the closing program of the Structures of Coastal Resilience exhibition, this Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Paul will present LTL Architects' and Princeton University's proposal for Atlantic City, NJ. The presentation will be followed by a group discussion exploring the themes of the exhibition with Guy Nordensen, Catherine Seavitt, and Roselle Henn. This Thursday 2/11 David J. Lewis Lecture in Philadelphia

At this lecture, David will make the argument, through the recent work of LTL Architects, for an architecture of social intensification. At a time when digital technology and social media consumes more of our attention and time, segregated into self-selected niches and polarized crowds, architecture is in a unique position of reasserting physical and public space as a necessary stage for dialogue and engagement.

Paul Lewis to Speak in Shenzhen at 2015 Idea-Tops International Design Forum

Paul Lewis will present a lecture and participate in a panel discussion at the Idea-Tops International Design Forum in Shenzhen on December 3rd, 2015. This three-day design conference will conclude with the Idea-Tops AIT Award Ceremony.
