LTL Architects is seeking applications for two positions:

1. Project Architect, who brings 5+ years experience and the ability and interest to lead design-driven projects, with a focus on civic and university work in New York City and throughout the USA.    

Candidates should have 5+ years of architectural experience and desire to work with a full cohort of consultants to design, coordinate and oversee the construction administration of significant and high-profile architectural projects.  The position requires strong design capacities and a clear ability to work with others, in the organization and leadership of a collaborative team in working from schematic design through construction administration. 

  • Bachelors or Master of Architecture Degree, with an interest in the material conditions of architecture and strong design skills. 

  • Experience and understanding of IBC and New York City building and energy codes. 

  • Experience in construction administration, from shop drawing review through project close out

  • Revit Architecture, Autocad and Rhino are required, in addition to Adobe CC and Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Desire and ability work collaboratively with others, balancing respect with persistence

2. A Director of Communications, who can lead the intersecting aspects of promotions, graphics, identity cultivation, awards submissions and acquisition of new work for design-intensive 15-person architecture firm in New York City.  The Director is responsible for writing and creating promotional materials for the firm, responding to request for qualifications and proposals, as well as the research and pursuit of new areas of work. The Director works directly with the partners in curating the image and strategizing the promotion of the firm thus ensuring the growth and development of the practice.

Candidates should have previous communications and marketing experience in architecture or a design-related field, with a range of diverse skills and talents to engage this multi-faceted and important role in the office. 

  • BA+ Degree+ in English, art history, architectural history, (or sim.) and/or creative marketing

  • Background and experience in marketing and communications

  • Excellent graphic design capacity with a keen visual sense

  • Solid writing and editing skills, with a love of language

  • Savvy understanding of the intertwined workings of social media and the web

  • Experience in responding to RFQ and RFPs for design or architectural services

  • Desire and ability work collaboratively with others, balancing respect with persistence

  • Full suite of Adobe CC programs, notably Indesign and Photoshop
