The ContemporAry Austin-Jones Center Reopens

LTL's renovation of The ContemporAry Austin-Jones Center has opened. The transformation of the museum includes a new 6,500 sq ft canopy floating 22 ft above the entire rooftop with ephemeral curtains able to envelope the space. Newly named The Moody Rooftop, this prominent downtown cultural destination integrates the 7' high letters of artist Jim Hodge's installation "With Liberty and Justice for All (A work in Progress)." Within the building, the gallery spaces have been expanded and upgraded to allow for larger and more complex exhibitions.

LTL's Manual of Section awarded 2016 International DAM Architectural Book Award

LTL Architects is honored, along with Princeton Architectural Press, to be selected for one of ten Awards for the best Architectural Book of the year, from 88 publishers and 214 global entries.  2016 is the eighth time the Frankfurt Book Fair and Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) have bestowed the International DAM Architectural Book Award. The prize, the only one of its kind honors the best architectural books in a year.  On September 28, 2016 a jury made up of external experts and representatives of DAM met to select the year’s ten best architectural books of the year. They based their decision on criteria such as design, content, quality of material and finishing, innovation, and topicality. All award-winning books will be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair from October 20 to 23, 2016 (Hall 4.1, Zentrum Bild, stand K 109).

Marc Tsurumaki to Lecture at Georgia Tech School of Architecture, Friday, October 21

Marc Tsurumaki will present a selection of the firm’s recent work in relation to their research on the role of section in architecture, culminating in the publication of ‘Manual of Section.’ The lecture will address the history and potentials of section as a generative technique, focusing on it’s evolution from early modernism forward, and on sectional strategies as they are deployed in LTL’s built and speculative designs.

LTL's New Studio Director and Associates

LTL is pleased to announce the promotion of Clark Manning to Studio Director, and the promotion of Anna Knoell, Michael Schissel, and Antonia Wai to Associate.
